Alberta "Jenny" Davis (Clark), 87, departed this life on August 17, 2024, in the comfort of her own home where she preferred to be.
She was born on August 10, 1937, in Headland, Alabama, to the late Jeff Clark and Sallie E. Clark. Alberta then moved to Dothan, Alabama, shortly after she started working at a factory where she would then meet her soul mate.
Alberta married the late Preston Jr. Davis in 1952. They moved to Anderson, Indiana, together in 1953. This union between the two would have been 75 years of marriage.
She attended Headland High School. Alberta was employed by General Tire and Alibi. She also attended Miracle Faith Temple, Inc. Alberta loved watching television, laughing, drinking Coca-Cola, all her grandchildren, pictures, listening to music, dancing, complimenting others, and mingling with family and friends.
Alberta is survived by her children: one daughter, Cathel Floyd-Standifer (husband, Earl); three sons, Earl Jr. (wife, Carol) Davis of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jeffery L. (wife, Antoinette) Davis and Dennis E. (wife, Oleta) Davis both of Anderson.
Alberta has twelve grandchildren, Tanika, Trina (husband, Greg), Brian, Janisha (husband, Derrick), Tyrone (wife, Tonya), Onjanee, Antoine, Janelle, Denielle, Dejonee, Janae, Jeffery Preston (J.P.), a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, Janie Boyd and Iceyphine Menifee.
Alberta is preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Jackson Clark; one sister, Willie Pearl Springfield (Aunt Pinky); and her special granddaughter, Dejonee Davis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, IN.
Services will follow visitation at 11:30 am at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
