Alma J. Goodpaster

Alma J. Goodpaster, 86, of Frankton, passed away peacefully with family by her side on May 15, 2023, at Northview Health and Living in Anderson. She was born on October 1, 1936, in Buncombe County, NC, the daughter of Claude and Elsie Fisher.

She retired from Guide Lamp. Alma was also a member of the U.A.W.

Alma enjoyed fishing, gardening, mushroom hunting, cooking, and scratching lottery tickets.

She loved her family and loved being a great Mamaw. Alma was loved by so many. She loved to share. Alma loved everyone at Northview Health and Living. Her roommate Joyce was a blessing. Kat was a dear friend. Becky was a beloved nurse to her.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Max Goodpaster in 2009, her parents, all of her siblings, and her two children, Donna Campbell and Richard Campbell.

She is survived by her children, Nora Campbell, Ricky Campbell, Ronnie Campbell, Eric Goodpaster (Codi), and Angela Allen (Nathan); her grandchildren, Brandon, Johnell, Hannah, Aryana, Jacob, Alexa, Anabelle, Haidyn, Gabrielle, Dalton, and many more great-grandkids. Alma loved everyone. She was genuinely loved by so many.

Services will be on Monday, May 22, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, with visitation from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
