Barbara Jean Carmony

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. Barbara Jean Carmony, 92, went to her heavenly home on, October 3, 2025, in Anderson. Barbara was born on, February 16, 1933, in Anderson and graduated from Anderson High School in 1951. and later married the love of her life, Russell Carmony on, December 6, 1952, and he preceded her in death in 2011.

She was a loving wife and mother. She was a faithful and active member of Edgewood Baptist Church since 1961. Barbara loved her Lord dearly and longed for the time when she would see him face to face. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the Colts, Pacers, Cubs, and Indiana Fever Teams.

She is survived by her children, David (Karen) Carmony, and Susan Edwards; her grandchildren, Daniel (Rachel) Carmony, Jason (Rachel) Carmony, Kevin (Amy) Carmony, and Joshua (Kerstin) Edwards; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild coming; her sister, Connie Barrett, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of 59 years, Russell, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Edgewood Baptist Church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Andy Lutz, with burial to follow at the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Edgewood Baptist Church from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service.
