Barbara Sue Givan

Barbara Sue Givan, 91, of Anderson, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family, friends and pastor on July 15, 2023. She was born on January 10, 1932 in Hillsboro, Illinois and resided most of her life in Anderson.

Barbara was a homemaker and graduated from Anderson High School.

She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Anderson. Barbara had a beautiful voice and sang from a very young age. She sang at weddings, convocations and was on a weekly radio program, but her greatest joy was singing in church to praise the Lord. She loved to play golf and was an avid bridge player with all of her friends.

Barbara is survived by her loving daughters, Kris (Donnie) Holland of Anderson and Linda (Oden) Cebada of Zionsville; grandchildren, Bo Tipton, Shawn Tipton, Sarah Miller, Michael Cebada, and Sadie Cebada; granddaughter-in-law, Tonya Holland; 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Givan; father, William Kinder; parents, Monta and Carl Cline; son, Michael Givan; and grandson, Brent Holland.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 19, 2023, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 119 E. 36th Street Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
