Barbara G. Taylor

Barbara (Speak) Taylor, 85, of Anderson passed away at home on October 25, 2024, with her family by her side. Barbara was born May 27, 1939 in Calico Rock, Arkansas to Samuel "Fizer" and Ruby Speak.

Barbara married Paul Wiley Taylor on October 30, 1954 and moved to Indiana shortly after. Together, Barbara and Paul had two sons, Anthony and Eric who they loved dearly.

Barbara was a homemaker, a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church and an avid Pacers fan. Her family was the most important thing to her and she looked forward to having everyone together for cookouts and holidays. Her sense of humor, advice and love for her family will forever be unmatched. She had an infectious laugh that could make anyone smile and was the greatest Mom, Granny and Gigi anyone could ever hope for.

Barbara will be missed by her son, Eric (Ruth) Taylor, daughter-in-law, Donna Taylor; granddaughters, Alexis (Colin) Manring and Ashley (Brandon) Taylor; Adriene (Nathan) Butts and Jessica Elam; great grandbabies and her pride and joy, Britlyn, Bennett, Ellison, Haven, Quinn and Taylor; siblings, Benny (Nelda) Speak, Doug (Mary) Speak, Donnie (Mary Lee) Speak, Malinda (Weldon) Taylor and Gwen Patterson; her dear friend and caregiver, Kelly Hines and several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; son, Anthony "Doc" Taylor; siblings, Dennis Speak and Mary Ann Dickerson and dear friend, Dwayne Stapleton.

Visitation will be held October 30, 2024 from 11-1 p.m. with services to follow with her brother, Benny Speak officiating Burial to follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to husband, Paul.
