Barbara Ann Voss, 94, passed away peacefully at her home, on November 15, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on October 26, 1930, to her parents, Kenneth and Helen Farmer, in Anderson, Indiana, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
She was a 1948 graduate from Anderson High School, where she served as senior class secretary and prom queen attendant. She married Vaughn Voss, the love of her life, on August 11, 1950, and they enjoyed life together until his death in May of 1995.
Barbara worked briefly for the City of Anderson and Abby Brown Candy Store, however, her passion in life was being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
She was a Cub Scout den mother and was very active in the Madison Avenue Little League, and she rarely missed any of her children's sporting events.
She was a long time member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church, in Anderson.
Barbara enjoyed traveling, cooking, family outings, and spending time with her many friends.
Barbara is survived by her children, Steve Voss of Noblesville, IN, Rick (Lori) Voss of Indianapolis, IN, Don (Pam) Voss of Alexandria, IN, and Kathy (Roger) Burnett of Fishers, IN; grandchildren, Tyler (Lori) Voss, Andrea Vellinga, Ricky (Jess) Voss, Amanda (Adam) Loyd, Levi (Carmen) Voss, Ashley (Alex) Witham, Jeff (Hannah) Burnett, and Jen (Austin) Beck; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Harry (Joanna) Farmer and Kenneth (Wanda) Farmer Jr; sister, Mary (Bill) Glenn; and grandson, Austin Voss.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Caprice Walker and her team at Hamilton Trace Assisted Living, as well as the compassionate team from Select Hospice.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, in Anderson, IN.
Services will follow visitation at 2:00 pm with Rev. Keith Wooden officiating.
Barbara will be laid to rest next to Vaughn in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Christian Center in Anderson or the Diabetes Association of Indiana.
