Bertie Worthington

Bertie graduated with her Masters in Education from Ball State University.

She was a teacher for Mt. Vernon Middle School.

She was a member of Eastside Church of God. Known for her beautiful flowers every summer, her Christmas lights each Christmas, and her amazing pies and cinnamon rolls, Bertie was a treasure to her family and the community.

Bertie is survived by her sons John F. Worthington of Russiaville, IN, Lewis (& Jennifer) E. Worthington of Holt, MI, and Jeffrey D. Worthington of Middletown, IN; her grandchildren Rachel Worthington, Joshua Worthington, Jennah Worthington, Loryn Worthington and Caleb Worthington; her great grandchildren Rosalind Hamilton and Vincent Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by husband, John F. Worthington, mother, Estella Tibbits, father, Lewis Tibbits.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN 46013.

Services will be Wednesday August 31, 2022, 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
