Betty Jane Gibson, 90, of Anderson, passed away on March 31, 2023. She was born on December 31, 1932, in Nabb, Indiana.

Betty graduated from Anderson High School, Class of 1950; Anderson College, class of 1953, and received her Master's Degree from Ball State Teacher's College in 1960.

She was a teacher for the Pendleton Schools from 1953 - 1956 and Anderson Schools from 1957 - 2006.

She was a member of the Indiana Retired Teacher's Association, Anderson Presbyterian Church, Anderson Friends of the Library, and Menta. She was named in Who's Who Among American Teachers four times. Betty loved gardening, reading, and being a grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Gibson Sr.; son, Robert Eugene Gibson Jr.; parents, and two siblings.

Visitation will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will be Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
