Billie Lou Chandler passed away at home on May 28, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Wilburn and Vera Plummer Schmitt. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1960. She was a member of Connection Pointe Church and was involved in many areas of the church, both the church and the former Care Christian School. Billie was the co-owner of Hair Arrangers Beauty Salon.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert Chandler, daughter Belinda Fleenor, daughter Bonita (John) Wilson, and daughter Betina (John) Cole, and eight grandchildren: Ross, Brandon, Katie, Samantha, Katina, Jon, Julie, and Jennifer. Brothers Jerry (Judy) Schmitt, Johnny Schmitt, and sister Judy Schmitt also survive. Billie has 22 great-grandchildren and was looking forward to her first great-great-grandchild in June. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by both parents, Zachary and Desirae
Visitation will be held Monday, June 3, 2024, from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, with funeral services starting at 1:00 pm, all at Connection Pointe Church 2702 W. 38 St. Anderson, IN 46011.
Memorial contributions can be made to Connection Pointe Church or the Madison County Humane Society.
