Bonita S. Watkins

Bonita S. Watkins, 87, of Muncie, passed away after an extended illness on March 28, 2025, at the Signature Health Care of Muncie. She was born on April 7, 1937, in Ridgeville, Indiana. She was one of eleven children of Roy and Ethel Shaneyfelt.

She was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan, liked to play bingo, and loved to watch the Game Show Network.

Bonita is survived by her sister, Myrtle Osborne of Gresham, OR; sister-in-law, Gwen Mousa of Anderson; special niece and caregiver, Susie Mikulski of Muncie; great-niece and caregiver, Jamie Swearingen of Muncie, and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Blondell Watkins; in-laws, Dell and Dottie Watkins; five brothers; Charles, Roy Jr., Dennis, Thurman, and John Shaneyfelt; four sisters, Ruby, Mary, Martha, Clara Shaneyfelt.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, IN.

Services will start after visitation at 5:00 pm at the funeral home with Chaplin Ken Kavenough officiating. There will be a dinner and more fellowship to follow.

A private graveside service will be held at the Anderson Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's charity of choice.

The family would love for everyone attending to wear their favorite Red's gear to support Bonita's love for them.
