Carl John Witsken Jr.

Carl J. "Sonny" Witsken, Jr., 80, of Anderson, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 27, 2025, after a long illness. He was born on December 15, 1944, to Carl J. Witsken, Sr. and Josephine Witsken.

Carl was a production worker at Delco Remy Division of General Motors, and retired after 42 years of service.

He enjoyed country music and spending time with his family and friends.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Lisa Witsken; son, Michael Witsken, and mother of his children, Deloris Crosley. Also, surviving is his sister, Cathy Thompson; brother, Michael (Jenny) Witsken, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Witsken in 2008; sister, Theresa Minnick in 2022; his beloved Doberman Pincher, Ceasar, and numerous good friends.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Steve Mercer, Michelle Cooper, Michelle Fries, Evan Fries, Martha Baker Green, Mike Sorg, Don Lott, David Mundy, Tommy Vaughn, Ralph Gordon, Ralph Clendenen, Gary Louderback, Sandy Butcher, Kassi and Alexa from Corso Care, Clint Gilliam, and all the caregivers at Bethany Pointe including Mary, Ken, Toni, Samantha, and O'Dell for all their love, care, and support of Carl.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 1:00 pm at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 2801 Lincoln St., Anderson, IN 46016, with Rev. Christian DeCarlo officiating.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.
