Charles Douglas "Doug" Copeland, 86, of Anderson, passed away surrounded by family at his son's home on January 8, 2022. He was born on September 20, 1935, in Algood, Tennessee.

Doug graduated from Rickman High School, Class of 1953.

He retired from the Delco-Remy Division of General Motors after 30 years of service. He also worked for K-Mart for 6 years, Ace Rent-A-Car for 22 years, and AVR van rental for 3 years.

He loved driving and helping family and friends.

Doug is survived by his children, James Copeland, Sabrina (Rafael) Mclaren; siblings, Walter (Betty) Copeland, Wallace (Ann) Copeland, Marie Walker, Joseph (Kathy) Copeland; grandchildren, Mollie Copeland, Adam (Teresa) Baker, Cody Baker; sisters-in-law, Peggy Badgley, Sandra Anderson, Connie (Mike) Thomas; brothers-in-law, Richard Hobbs, Terry (Kathy) Hobbs and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Ramona Copeland; his parents, Osborne and Annie Myrtle Copeland.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will be Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 2:30 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Brad Burho officiating, followed by cremation and burial of ashes at Memorial Park at a later date.

The family wishes to thank the Paradigm Hospice Staff for their excellent care, and Dick and Sue Barnett, and Angie and AJ Chesser for years of friendship.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Red Door Cancer Agency in Indianapolis.
