He was born on October 30, 1939 in Muncie, the son of Wilbur B. and Tory (Parks) Lindsey and graduated from Parker City High School in 1958. On December 30, 1977 in Anderson, he married Lena P. Short.
Chuck worked for Astral Casket Company in Lynn and then worked at Warner Gear for over 41 years.
He loved bowling, playing golf, woodworking, motorcycles, working on cars, and spending time with family and friends. Before his illness, he attended Pentecostal House of Prayer in Losantville.
Surviving are four children, Marsha Bryant (Tommy) of Georgia, Tom Lindsey (Lisa) of Anderson, Margaret Lewis (Reverend Jeff) of Kentucky and Martha Gard (Junior) of Mooreland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Lindsey (wife, Lin) of Florida; three sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Lindsey of Ft. Wayne, Dixie Lindsey of Yorktown and Glenda Gerard (Jim) of Anderson; and special friend, Marie Resor of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur; his mother, Tory Hunt; his wife of 39 years, Lena P. Lindsey in 2017; great-grandson, Charles Scott Adkins; four brothers, Larry Lindsey, Clinton “Bub” Lindsey, Phil Mills and Jim Lindsey; two sisters-in-law, Mae Thompson and Joyce Patterson; three brothers-in-law, Wes Thompson, Jack Tucker and Bob Short; and his best friend, Bill Resor.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Paul Nunley officiating. Private entombment will be held at Anderson Memorial Park.
Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.
