Chris Whitehurst

Chris Whitehurst, 73, of Anderson, passed away on October 4, 2026, with his family by his side in Anderson, Indiana. He was born on February 22, 1953, in Anderson, Indiana, to his parents, Geraldine "Jerry" and B.J. Whitehurst.

Chris graduated from Anderson High School.

Following graduation, he began his career with General Motors, where he dedicated more than 30 years of service before retiring.

He found joy in the simple things in life-fishing from his boat, working on cars, and searching for unique treasures at flea markets and auctions. He had a special love for his four old English sheep dogs and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. But of all the things he enjoyed, nothing compared to the time he spent with his family.

Chris is survived by his loving partner of 42 years, Linda Bryant; two daughters, Bettie (Kyle) Freeman and Brandy Whitehurst; two grandchildren, Kelli and Dylan Huddleston; three great-grandsons; step-daughter, Debrah Weessies; step-grandson, Bailey Weessies; brother, Larry (Doris) Whitehurst; sister, Paula (Jerry) Lomax and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, Randy Bryant.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, Indiana, 46013.

Services will follow visitation on Friday at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana.
