David Dale Gooding
January 8, 1941 — February 7, 2026
David Dale Gooding, 85, of Alexandria died February 7, 2026 at Northview Health and Living after an extended illness.
He was born January 8, 1941 in Muncie the son of Eugene and Bessie (Hess) Gooding.
He worked production at Delco Remy 35 years before retiring.
He attended Journey then Bethany Christian Church.
Survivors include his son, Brian Gooding of Anderson; his daughter Stephanie (Jose) Cervantes of Elkhart; four stepsons, Jon (Angel) Plummer of Anderson; David (Twanna) Plummer of Alexandria, Butch (Donna) Plummer of Colorado and Michael (Kim) Plummer of Middletown; five siblings, Bobbie Gooding, Tony Gooding, Nancy Bennett, Cecelia DeRois and Patty Millspaugh; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and two spouses, Marilyn and Carolyn.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Carl Bowan officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
