David E. Newman

David E. Newman 83, passed away on September 2, 2024. An Anderson resident for all of his life, David was born April 3, 1941 to the late Everett and Wilma Newman, he retired from Delco Remy and was a school bus driver for a number of years. He was a lifetime member of Whetstone Christian Church, a 50 plus member of the Ovid Masonic Lodge #164 FMA. David loved music, he would sing and play the accordion and sing with several gospel groups, he was an avid bowler and card player. David took two mission trips to India and loved to vacation on cruise ships. He had a great sense of humor and was a quick wit. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and a loving father, grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Sandra Newman, sons Brad (Suzanne) Newman, Brian ( Martha Clephane), daughter, Brenda (Rick) Hulden, grandson, Nathan Newman and brother Charles Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents, step dad Willard Banks, brother Frank Newman and sisters Ruth Anne James and Grace Ellen Sherif.
Visitation and funeral service will be held Monday September 9, 2024 from 10:00 am - 12 noon, with services starting at 12 noon, at Whetstone Christian Church 5940, Madison Ave, Anderson, IN 46013.
