Debra Lea Atkinson

Debra Lea Atkinson, 72, of Muncie passed away on October 21, 2025 at her residence following an extended illness.

She was born on June 19, 1953 in Spokane, Washington to William and Lena Rose (Ellis) Atkinson. She did piece work at Hillcroft Day Services in Muncie.

She was a member of Chesterfield Christian Church. She loved Michael Jackson, Disney, Popeye, dancing, taking walks, going out to eat, shopping, going through photo albums, all holidays especially Halloween and Christmas, and all of her housemates.

She is survived by all of her loving caregivers and housemates at ResCare in Muncie; and her cousin, Laura Phelps.

Preceded in death by her father, William Atkinson; mother and stepfather, Lena Rose and Robert Lawler.

Service will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:30am-1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
