Diana Carmack Storhoff passed away on November 21, 2023, at the age of 77. Known for her fun-loving personality, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Diana was born in Anderson, IN on September 10, 1946, to Elsie and William Paul Carmack. She earned a bachelor's and master's degree from Ball State University in Biochemistry and went on to teach science courses and do research at Ball State and in industry. She loved spending time with family and friends, always looking forward to family trips to the lake cottage or taking family to new places, or just hanging out with the family on weekend trips to her parents. Diana also had many passions, including working with stained glass, a butterfly collection, and photography. She loved animals, especially dogs, of which she had many close companions through the years. Diana also wrote two books of poetry about the beauty of the natural world.
Diana was very active in the community. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Muncie, IN, where she taught Sunday School and participated in the choir, as she loved to sing. Diana also participated in the league of women voters.
She is survived by her two sons, Damon (Marcia), of Bradenton, FL, and James (Linette), of Seattle, WA; her grandchildren, Victor, Stephen, Brianna, Kelsey, Jude, and Oliver; her sisters, Pam Frazee, of Carmel, Deborah Parson (Bill), of Anderson, and Lisa Dusing (Gary Turner), of Anderson. She is predeceased by her sister, Sandra Carmack Gunne, her father, William Paul Carmack, and her mother, Elsie Carmack.
A visitation will take place at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M., with a funeral at 12:00 P.M.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
