Dianna Ruth Hurst

Dianna Ruth (Asbury) Hurst, 79, of Fishers passed away on September 5, 2023 at Castleton Healthcare.

She was born on March 9, 1944 in Anderson to Ellis and Alta (Hedger) Asbury. She was a clerk with US Postal Service for 20 years and worked primarily in Atlanta, Arcadia and Cicero. She also worked at Aero Drapery and at Tipton Memorial Hospital as an OR Tech.

She was attended at Geist Chapel. She enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, and singing in various choirs.

She was survived by her son, Jon Hurst of Fishers; a brother, Bill (Judy) Asbury of Zionsville; a sister, Cynthia Asbury of Carmel; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Owen M. Hurst in 2022; two brothers, Bob Asbury and Bud Asbury; three sisters, Rosemary Bilyeu, Betty Sharpless and Almeda Jones.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30am on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial service will follow at 12:00 pm on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Geist Chapel, 12549 Old Stone Drive, Indianapolis, IN with Pastor Brian Boone officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm on Friday at Geist Chapel.
