Dolores Jean Corbin

Dolores Jean Corbin, 93, passed away on May 23, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital Muncie, IN. She was born on August 1, 1929, in Lafayette, Indiana. She married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Corbin on August 5, 1951, and they shared 57 years together.

Dolores graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School and Purdue University where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. After graduation, she worked for the Purdue Department of Bacteriology. She was also an excellent seamstress and loved cooking, gardening, shopping, and writing lovely poetry.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she served as a Deacon. She was also a member of Psi Iota Xi and P.E.O. Dolores volunteered for Community Hospital and arranged their flowers for many years.

Dolores is survived by her children, Lesley Devine of Muncie, IN; Thomas (Paula) Corbin of Irvine, CA; grandchildren, Adrienne Lutz of Greenville SC, Lauren (Scott) Hager of Cumming, GA, Paige (George) Pallikaras of Toronto, Canada, Adam Corbin and Andrea Corbin; great-grandchildren, John Thomas, Elijah, Victoria, and Logan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmo and Helen L. Dobbins; husband, Ralph Corbin; son, Stuart F. Corbin; and son-in-law, Tom Devine.

Private services will be held with burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
