Donald "Doc" Keith Bobo Sr., 93, of Anderson, passed away on April 19, 2022, at his residence. He was born April 5, 1929, in Anderson, to Charles and Frances (Laughlin) Bobo. Donald served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He retired from Gedge Brothers Steel as a warehouseman. Donald was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society for over 50 years. He enjoyed singing, guitar, mandolin, bingo, and playing for the Square Dance Clubs. Donald is survived by his children, James Bobo of Anderson, Penny "Marci" Warren of Chesterfield, Lisa Bobo of Anderson; siblings, Bea Summers, Hilda Waldron, Gary Bobo, Bonnie White; grandchildren, Tara Vaughn, Deanna Gwin, Wendy Davis, Krysta Henson, Jacob Henson, Rachel Warren, Brian Kendall; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and "adopted" daughter, Terri Massengill of Sulphur Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Geraldine Bobo; son, Donald Bobo II; and a sister, Nedra Louise Bobo. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, with burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
