It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donald L. Gallamore, who left us on January 20, 2026, at the age of 96. Born on November 2, 1929, to Sylva and Jennie (Ball) Gallamore, Donald lived a full life filled with family, friends, and passions.
A proud graduate of Anderson High School, Class of 1947, Donald dedicated his entire career to American Playground. He was a dedicated member of the Church of the Brethren, where he formed many lasting connections. A charter member of the Anderson Sertoma Club, Donald was known for his community spirit and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Outside of work and service, Donald cherished his time spent fishing and cheering on the Indiana Pacers. He was a true family man, and his legacy continues through his daughter, Susan (Ed) Rihn. He is also survived by grandchild, Nichole Caldwell; and his sister as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donald is reunited in spirit with his beloved wife, Norma (Hill) Gallamore, and their daughter, Connie Gallamore, along with his four brothers and his parents.
Private memorial service will be held at the Church of the Brethren, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate his life and share memories of this remarkable man.
Rest in peace, Donald. Your kindness and spirit will always be remembered.
