Doris D. Moss

Doris Dean Moss, 88, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Community Hospital in Anderson, Indiana. She was born December 6, 1934, in Anderson, Indiana to John and Sally (Elmore) Hughes.
She worked for Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana until 1971. She also held a beautician’s license for many years. Doris had a full life as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-
great grandmother, Mary Kay Consultant, and Girl Scout Leader. She was gifted in crafting and painting. She loved making flowers for her daughters and granddaughters' weddings and any other event needed.
She is survived and loved by her husband of 54 years, Antonio “Tony” L. Moss; children: Theresa “Terri” (Steve) Best, Gregory “Greg” (Julie) Alexander, Corinne (Wayne) Dittlinger, Steve (Dean)
Moss, Charisse (Kevin) Sommers, Toni (Jeff) Schuck; grandchildren: Stephenie Mellinger, Stephen Best, Brandi Roper, Shane Alexander, Derek Wright, Danielle Clinkscales, Delilah Wolverton, Jon Whipple, Alex Bell, Nathan Bell, Kevin Sommers, Camille Sommers, Miranda Acosta and Carter Schuck; 21 great-grandchildren, with baby Clinkscales arriving soon; great-great-grandchild, Miryam Roper; sister, Patricia (Don) Pitts; brother, John (Mary) Hughes. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hughes; sisters: Barbara Brenner and Ruby Lowe; son, Antonio Moss; daughter, Michal Bell; son, Gregg Moss; son-in-law, David Wright; granddaughter, Sandi K.

A celebration of life will be held at Loose Funeral Home & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
