Dorothy Jean Henkle Webb passed away Saturday October 4th, at the age of 104 at her home in Anderson. She was the third child of Ralph and Dorothy Henkle of Daleville. Born May 8th of 1921, which was Mothers Day that year, she was given the name of her mother – Dorothy.
A graduate of Yorktown High School and Ball State University, with a Masters degree in education, she taught 3rd grade for many years, and was much beloved by her students. She married Dr. Harry Webb in 1957, and was a much beloved mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Webb was preceded in death by Harry, her husband of 37 years, her parents, her 5 siblings, Betty, Eleanor, Becky, Philip, and Mary, her daughter, Lisa, and her stepson Scott.
She is survived by her son, Thomas and his wife Ellen -- her 4 grandchildren, Andrew (wife Heidi), Peter (wife Sharon), Susanna, and Sarah (husband Sang) – and her 3 great-granddaughters Alexandra, Wilhelmina, and Eliana.
Services will be held Friday October 10th at 1 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Anderson, followed by interment at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:30 am until the time of the service at the church.
