Earl W. Dotson, 92, of Anderson, passed away at home on February 18, 2023. He was born on June 19, 1930 in Selma, Indiana, the son of Elmer and Nellie (Seiwert) Dotson. He married Tomoko Azuma on March 9, 1953.

Earl served in the Army during the Korean War and was employed at as a tool and die maker with Guide Lamp retiring in 1995. He was a member of the VFW266, American Legion 408, UAW 663, Chesterfield Volunteer Fire Department (1978-86) and Guide Lamp Fire Brigade.

Earl is survived by his children: Linda (Jeff) Nicholson and Terry Dotson; grandchildren; Charity (Blaine) Caldwell, Morgan (Matt) Thompson, Andy (Ashley) Nicholson and Dustin (Kaylee) Dotson; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Evelyn Fergeson; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Bev and Dave Boivin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Tomoko Azuma Dotson; son, Mike Dotson; siblings Hazel Greenwalt, Reba Jones, Gladys Hiles, Margaret Jones, Kenneth Dotson.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 PM Friday, February 24, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park.

Visitation will be on Friday, from noon until the service at 1:30 PM

Memorial contributions may be given to the Chesterfield Volunteer Fire Department.
