Edward "Ed" L. Loose, 83, of Anderson, passed away after an extended illness on November 14, 2014 at his residence. He was born on January 31, 1931 in Anderson, Indiana where he resided all of his life.
Edward served his country as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US Army and then later attended Ball State University.
He retired from the United States Postal Service in 1986 after 31 years of service.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Judith A. (Collins) Loose, sons, James D. Loose of Indianapolis, Timothy W. Loose of Devil's Lake, ND, David A. Loose of Manitou Springs, CO; grandchildren, Amanda Loose of Indianapolis, Jessica Loose of Indianapolis, Jacob Loose of Japan, and Rachael (Chad) Biggar of Minnesota; siblings, William H. Loose of Rapid City, MI, Robert D. (Linda) Loose of Anderson, and Susan Freeman of Anderson. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William R. and Marguerite H. (Leach) Loose.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 1:00pm -2:30pm at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the funeral home with Pastor Marc Adams officiating.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Operation Love or the donor's choice.
