Elizabeth "Libby" Munshaur, 83, of Anderson, passed away on July 21, 2026, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson, Indiana. She was born on November 7, 1942, in Anderson, Indiana, to her parents, Louise and Ward Hartzell, and resided all of her life in Anderson.
Libby graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1960. After graduation, she attended Ball State University where she was a member of Sigma Kappa sorority.
She married her late husband of 46 years, Carter Munshaur, on June 22, 1963.
She was a devoted homemaker whose greatest passion was creating a warm and loving home for her family. A caring and dedicated mother, she was always there for her children and was actively involved in the Mother's Club. Later in life, she worked alongside her sister for twelve years as a retail associate at Moneyhun's Fine Gifts in Anderson, Indiana.
Libby was a faithful member of Central Christian Church, where she was actively involved in the CWF. She was also a proud member of Eastern Star Chapter #154, the Garden Club, Home Ec and the Isabel Society.
Libby is survived by her two children, Jeff (Rose) Munshaur and Jana (Steve) Persinger; grandchildren, Conner (Kathryn) Munshaur, Lindsey Munshaur, Cole (Ellie) Persinger; great-granddaughters, Sloane, Jane and Adeline Munshaur; bonus grandchildren, Amber, Sarah and Emma (Todd); bonus great-grandchildren; sister, Gretchen (James) Gwynn with her daughters, Sheila, Cheryl, Susanne and their families; sisters-in-law, Mary, Karen (Mark) and Amber; cousin, Karen Beechboard; special friends, Judy Barron and Terri Graham; and several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; in-laws and bonus grandson, Eric Persinger.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Bethany Pointe and Paradigm Hospice, especially Amber, Whitney, Makenzie, Chaplain Rob and Joann, for their compassionate care, love and unwavering support throughout the years.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Monday, July 27, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, Indiana, 46013.
Services will follow visitation on Monday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Rob Mifflin officiating.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana.
