Elvira Ruth Short

She was born on September 28, 1937, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of George Sr. and Christina (Fryhling) Herber.
Elvira retired from Long John Silvers after 8 years of service and also held a Certified Nursing Assistant certificate.
She was a member of Living Word Worship Center and the Red Hat Society.
Elvira enjoyed bowling, cooking, and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, Glenda (Jim) Gerard and Lonnie (Barb) Short; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Elvira was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George H. Short; 7 step-children; and 2 brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be held at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN, 46013, on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Joey Colson officiating.
Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
