Esther Anne Lawson

She was born on February 8, 1935 in Anderson, the daughter of Raymond E. and Ada Maude (Sprague) Jessup. She was a 1952 graduate of Anderson High School and was employed by Gaither Music as a bookkeeper for 17 years. She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene and for many years had raised small animals, ( miniature horses, llama, deer, goats and peacocks) at Kearns Koral.

Esther is survived by her husband, Bill Lawson, whom she married on June 17, 2017; four children, Cathy (Woodruff) Taylor (husband Jack), Jennifer Chandler, Julia (husband Ron) Knight, Janice Hendsel; grandchildren, Ashley (Taylor) Stephens (husband Seth), Britney Taylor, Jeremy Woodruff, Jessica (husband Jim) Williams, Mindy (husband Paul) Wehmeir, Melissa Knight, Dewayne (wife Janalee) Lyons, Ashlee Dill, Meranda (husband Shawn) Perry; 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and Big Boy her African Gray Parrot.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Albert E. Kearns, Jr.; son, Gary Allan Woodruff; brother, Paul Jessup, sister; Ila Dutton.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Jason Hawk. Visitation with the family will also be held on Tuesday, from 1-3 PM.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
