Florence M. Gibson

Florence M. (Davis) Gibson, 88, of Anderson, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her residence on June 9, 2023. She was born on August 15, 1934, in Holton, Indiana, the daughter of Carl E. and Mary (Reese) Davis.

Florence graduated from Anderson High School in 1953.

She worked for General Motors, and retired after 42 years of service.

She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Anderson. Florence liked crossword puzzles, word searches, but most importantly she loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Florence is survived by her loving sons, Duane (Terri) Gibson and Randy Gibson; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is her brother, Stephen Davis, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert Gibson, Jr.; brothers, Carl Leroy Davis and Bobby Davis; and sister, Betty Gillespie.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Jason Hawk officiating.

Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Parkview Church of the Nazarene.
