Gail Kay (Kirkpatrick) Land, 92, former Anderson resident, passed away July 6, 2026 in Palm Harbor, Florida following an extended illness.

Kay was born on August 22, 1933 in Great Falls, Montana, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Thompson) Kirkpatrick. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1952, and later graduated from IUPUI School of Nursing, beginning her career as a registered nurse. Kay was a nurse at Community Hospital in Anderson for 23 years, retiring in 1993.

Kay married Donald K. Land on June 24, 1955 in Anderson. She resided in Anderson until she and Don relocated to Clearwater, Florida in 2003, where they attended Bayside Community Church of God. Don preceded her in death on November 25, 2023.


She is survived by three children; Sherri (Joe) Voytik, Ronald Land and Rodger (Terri) Land; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, with one on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Glen Kirkpatrick.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 1 pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Ned Clark. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery,

Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service beginning at 11 am on Friday.
