Gary L. Wells, 75, of Anderson, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on February 18, 2026. He was born on May 30, 1950 in Anderson, the son of Joseph and Uela (Berkebile) Wells.
Gary graduated from Frankton High School and was employed as a corrugator operator at Container Corporation in Anderson for many years. He was a member of Redeemer Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, football, music, playing the drums and hot rod cars. He especially loved time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by four children; Terri Wells of Anderson, Gary Wells, Brian (Tina) Wells of Bonfield, IL, Amy (Sonny) Kidd of Rosalia, Kansas; 11 grandchildren, Taylor and Trevor Wells, Mason Cain-Wells, Courtney Wells, Colleen Wells, Liam Elliott, Victoria Wells, Braiden Neeley, Phillip Neeley, Brandon Neeley, Aaron Neeley; 11 great grandchildren; stepchildren Kerri, Tim, Rick, and Jimmy Reddington; a very special and true companion, Mae Dean; and longtime best friend, Greg Nealis.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sally Reddington Wells, a daughter, Susan Neeley, two grandsons Bryce Wells and Micheal Neeley; two sisters, Lucresia Storm and Linda Smith.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 at 11 AM at Redeemer Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Sunday, from 2-5 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and from 10-11 Monday at the church.
Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
