George M. Stith

George Stith, 91, passed away on Jan. 5, 2026.George was born on Nov. 20, 1934, to Maurice and Rosemary Stith. He was an Anderson High School graduate and GM retiree. George enjoyed poker, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

George is survived by his wife, Marilyn Stith; sons Maurice (Nadine) Stith and Mark (Treva) Stith; daughters Marva Steans (Greg) and Lynda Powell (John); brother Richard Stith; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.George was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice Stith and Rosemary Stith; sisters Barbara Stith and Anna Smith; and brothers Marshall Stith, Robert Stith, and Frank Stith.

Funeral services will be at noon Wednesday at Anderson Zion Baptist Church, 2008 Rev. J. T. Menifee St, with visitation 2 hours prior to service. Burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
