Gerald D. Campfield

Gerald D. Campfield 86, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, at his residence. He was the husband of Marcia Sue Campfield (Safford). They shared 66 years of marriage.
He was born in Prentiss KY and was the son of the late Roy and LaBelle Campfield. He graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1955, served 8 years in the Navy Reserves, and retired from Delco Remy.
Gerald enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, woodworking, and making jewelry. He was a jack of all trades and will forever be remembered for his humor, knowledge, honesty, sense of style, and love for his family.
He is survived by his wife Marcia, brother Larry, and children Doug, Rick, and Bruce. Grandchildren Amanda, Amy, Steven, Aubrey, Grace, and multiple great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Phyllis Hosier.

We are comforted to know that his spirit has cast off the shackles which bound him to this earth in old age and now he is free to once again roam the wild places he loved so much.
