Geraldine A. Bobo

She was born October 27, 1932 in Lena, OH and lived most of her life in Anderson. She was a homemaker and a member of Temple Baptist Church in Muncie, and Tenth Street Baptist Church in Anderson. She loved to crochet and knit and loved crafts.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald K. Bobo, Sr. of Anderson; two sons, Donald K. Bobo, II, and James E. Bobo, both of Anderson; two daughters, Penny “Marci” (husband, Barry L.) Warren, and Lisa J. (Steve) Lempereur, all of Anderson; adopted daughter, Teri (husband, Bruce) Massengale of Sulphur Springs, IN; seven grandchildren, Tara J. Vaughn and Wendy D. Vaughn, both of Anderson, Deanna M. Elsbury of Bloomington, Krysta E. Henson, Jacob R. Henson and Rachel N. Warren, all of Anderson, and Bryan Kendall of Chesterfield; six great-grandchildren; sister, Betty A. Carney of Green Cove Springs, FL; brothers, Rex A. Poore and Mark Poore, both of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and LaWilda (Leisure) Poore; brothers, Samuel Sheets, Chester Rapier, James Poore, Wilber Poore, William Poore, and Robert Poore; and sisters, Marcell Watson, Dorothy Bicknel, Doris Bicknel, Stella Poore, and Judy Poore.

A Memorial Service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Allen of Cornerstone Baptist Church and Rev. Claude Creel of Good Shepherd Community Church officiating.

Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

It was her request that her body be donated to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, or to the donor’s favorite charity through the funeral home.
