Grover C. Mcphaul

He was a 1985 graduate of Madison Heights High School, a 1987 graduate of Vincennes University, and a 1990 graduate of Indiana University Bloomington. He also graduated from Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Indiana University Police Academy, and Dekalb County Police Academy in Lithonia, Georgia. His dream to be a police officer started at an early age, and he participated in the Anderson Civil Defense organization while a teenager in high school. He also volunteered at St. Johns Hospital in Anderson as a mental health volunteer. He served as a police officer with the Riverdale Police Department in Riverdale, Georgia, and the Atlanta Police Department.

He is survived by his mother Cheryl McPhaul; brothers John McPhaul, Ralph Rowe (Jennifer); Tremayne McPhaul (Stacey); sisters Mary McPhaul (William) and Jacinta McPhaul; several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Wilbur McPhaul Sr., and brothers Arthur Wilbur McPhaul Jr., and Terence Ian McPhaul.

A visitation will be held on Saturday November 5, 2022, from 10am-12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson with a funeral service beginning at 12pm. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
