On January 25, 2025, Harvey Lee Brown, loving husband and father of two, passed away at the age of 91.
He is survived by his sister, Barbara Trueblood of Anderson; son, Scott Brown (wife, Karen Brown) of Indianapolis; and daughter, Tamara Brown (husband, Michael Konkol) of Brier, WA.
Harvey was born in Anderson, IN, to Floyd and Marguerite Brown.
On April 1, 1955, he married Evelyn May Hexamer. They were married for 66 years. Evelyn preceded Harvey in death on June 15, 2021.
Harvey worked at Guide Division of General Motors in Drafting and then as a Project Engineer.
When he and Evelyn retired, they moved to Brown County, IN, where they built a house themselves, and spent many years there enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking in Yellowwood State Forest and Hoosier National Forest, planting trees, cutting wood and horseback riding.
Harvey’s love of engineering and curiosity about technology was lifelong. He owned one of the first Texas Instrument scientific pocket calculators and one of the first home computers. He continued to learn many types of new technology up to his most recent 3D printer projects.
Graveside service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, in the chapel at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at 1PM.
