Helen J. "Peggy" (Wise) Riggins, 90, of Anderson passed away on April 5, 2026 at Willows of New Castle following a brief illness.

She was born on September 10, 1935 in Butler, Indiana to Lloyd and Irene (Atwood) Wise. She was a 1953 graduate of Anderson High School.

She was a sales clerk at Montgomery Ward. She was a campground host at Mounds State Park for several years.

She was a member of Whetstone Christian Church. She loved reading, gardening, and flowers. She was known as the "Flower Lady".

She was survived by her son, Joe (Lisa) Riggins of New Castle, IN; a brother, Jim Wise of Utah; two grandchildren, Cory (Ashley) Riggins of Bourbon, IN and Carly (Nick) Gillock of Medaryville, IN; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Riggins, Haley Riggins, Isabelle Gillock, and Jarrett Gillock; one great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Reanna.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell "Spike" Riggins; a brother, John Wise; and a sister, Luella Dooley.

Funeral service will be at 11:00am on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. The burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00am -11:00am on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children's Hospital.
