It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Howard J. Rudicil on July 21, 2026, a fascinating character who left a unique imprint on the lives of those around him. Howard was a proud member of the Air Force, a detail that brought him great pride and a sense of camaraderie throughout his life.
Howard was known for being a bit "rotten" in the best way-a quiet soul who loved to keep himself busy working with his hands. Whether he was tinkering with a car, attending car shows, or just being out and about, he thrived on activity and had a knack for finding joy in the simple things. He had a particular passion for collecting cars and following NASCAR, always looking forward to the next race or show.
Family was everything to Howard, and he is survived by his life partner, Jill Thomas; beloved daughter, Brandie (Bulfrano) Rudicil, along with his sons Rodney (Heather) Rudicil and Sam (Lea) Thomas; and his 15 grandchildren. His love for his family extended to his animals, who he cared for deeply over the years.
Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park, Anderson, In on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 11:30 am.
Howard may be gone, but the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in our hearts forever. Rest easy, Howard; your legacy continues through those you loved.
