Irene V. Davis, 96, a loving mother and grandmother, passed away on January 27, 2026, at the Rawlins House in Pendleton. She was born on April 10, 1929, in Ingalls, Indiana. Irene graduated from Fortville High School, Class of 1947, and Beauty School. She was a homemaker and beautician, and had previously worked at Kmart, Brockway, and RCA. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling, and made beautiful quilts. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and was an avid IU basketball fan. Irene is survived by her children, Gary Davis, Deborah (Harold) Cookman, Jeff (Naomi) Davis, and Lisa (Bob) Taylor; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Ireton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, June Norman Davis; parents, Charles and Esther Valentine; 7 brothers, including her twin, Gene, and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held Monday, February 2, 2026, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, IN. Graveside services will be on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection League.
