James "Jim" Paul Swain

James Paul "Jim" Swain, 91, of Anderson died October 12, 2023 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born July 27, 1932 in Anderson, the son of Harry and Lona (Hellems) Swain.

He served in the United States Air Force.

Jim was an agent for State Farm Insurance for 51 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn "Joan" (Armstrong) Swain of Anderson; four children, James H. (Jamie) Swain of Anderson, Cathy Swain-Asbury (Steve) of Peoria, Illinois, Beth (Mark) Vandergrift of Anderson and Melissa (Walt) Morris of Bloomington; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Butch Kuhns officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday, from 3 to 7 p.m. with a Masonic lodge service at 6:45 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Shriner's Hospital.
