James C. Rigney Jr.

James Cornelious Rigney, Jr., 69, of Alexandria, passed away at his residence on December 26, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1956 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of James C. and Edna Rigney, Sr.

He was a retired brick mason.

James is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Tammy (Dowden) Rigney; children, Gordon (Taryn) Rigney, James (Ivy) Rigney, III, Charles (Nicole) Rigney, Jessie (Katie) Ridney, Shiloh Rigney, Megan Cox, Ashley (Melvin Davis) Rigney, and Josh (Tammy Kelich) Crawl. Also, surviving are his granchildren, Jade Doggett, James Rigney, IV, Brody Rigney, Briley Rigney, Grace Corliss, Drusilla Sherfick, Bo Rigney, Austin Rigney, Chelsie Rigney, Shane Rigney, Devan Rigney, Ron Rigney, Jeffery Howard, Nevaeh Howard, Blake Cox, Tammy Long, Elijah Davis, Christopher Davis, Madison Davis, Barrett Rigney, Easton Rigney, and Sierra Schmitt; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Triena Cunningham.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 2, 2026, 10:30 am - 11:30 am at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street Anderson, IN.

Services will follow visitation at 11:30 am at the funeral home

Burial will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
