James worked as an automotive diesel mechanic for many years before becoming a sales rep for Best Way Disposal. He loved to play softball, euchre, and spend time with his family. He was a wonderful grandpa to his grandchildren. He was selfless and kind in so many ways.
James was an active member at Ovid Community Church for 20+ years. He was involved in the church community, served as an usher, and spent several missions’ trips to the Philippines. His faith was extremely important to him.
James is survived by his three sons Jon Thrasher (Hope), Aaron Thrasher (Bre), and Cody Thrasher; granddaughters Makenna Thrasher and Lucia Thrasher; siblings Susan Moss, David Thrasher (Gail), Guy Thrasher (Robin), and Janel Poore (Brian); several nieces and nephews; and several special friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above and brother-in-law Rick Moss.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, June 30, from 5-7pm at Ovid Community Church and again on Friday July 1 from 10-12pm with a funeral service following at 12pm. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
