James Hoover Walker

James Hoover Walker, age 90, departed this earthly life on August 1, 2023, after an extended illness. He was born January 26, 1933, in Barnwell, SC to Hampton Lewis Walker Sr. and Elise (Morgan) Walker and attended Elko Public School. James gave his life to Christ and was baptized at an early age.

James moved to Indiana to seek employment and was a retiree of Delco Remy for 40 years. He enjoyed carpentry work and working on cars in his spare time.

He leaves to cherish his memory; Brother, Lenson “Bip” Walker, of Williston, SC, Sisters, Elaine Cheston, of Williston, SC, Mary Ann Jenkins, of Atlanta, GA, Eloise Toler of Charlotte, NC, Lue Ester Douglas of Williston, SC, Daughter-in-Law, Paula Saunders, and former wife, Mary Walker of Anderson, IN, two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his Son, Nathaniel Walker, Sister, Dorothy “Dot” Walker, Brothers, Clarence Walker Sr., Eddie Marvin Walker, William “Pop” Walker, Hampton Walker Jr.
