James Leo Wiley

James Leo Wiley, 88, of Anderson, passed away July 27, 2023 at Northview Health and Living.

He was born on May 1, 1935 in Anderson, the son of Clyde and Josephine (Hall) Wiley. He retired from Delco Remy as a tool and die maker and was a lifetime member of the American Legion, having served in the US Army. He was an avid fan of I.U. Basketball, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his children; Andrea Semon, Brenda (Larry) Davis, Debbie (George) Varga, Cheryl Wiley, James Wiley Jr.; grandchildren; Brody Davis, Cole (Stephanie Haines) Varga, Jason (Brittany) Semon, Christina McFadden, Lauren (Ryan McCormick) Varga, Kelsey (Joe) McPhearson, Earon Jamison, Shawn Sizelove, Candice (Terrance) Major O’Connor; several great grandchildren; brother, Mike Wiley; sister, Patty (Morris) Stigall; several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Clarice Wiley, daughter Angela Wiley, daughter, Jamie Mitchell, his parents and several siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 1PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held also on Tuesday beginning at 11 AM until the time of the funeral service.
