Janice K. Peterson

Janice K. Peterson, 78, of Anderson, passed away on December 22, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on April 19, 1945, in Anderson, Indiana.

Janice graduated from Lapel High School, Class of 1963. She served her country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

She was a Finance Clerk for Fort Benjamin Harrison retiring in 2007 after 45 years of service.

She was a proud member of the Women's Army Corps.

Janice is survived by her children, Brad (Lucinda) Peterson and Wendy (Terry) Peterson-Noel; sisters, Myrna Stewart, and Marjory Giustino; grandchildren, Kayla (Lucas) Dollens, Kiernan Peterson, Megan Noel, and Jacob Noel; great-grandchildren, Gavin Noel, Roselea Noel, Laine Noel, Amberlyn Counts, and Artemis Dollens; sister-in-law, Carolyn Needler; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ella Needler; and siblings, Bonnie King and Arnold Needler.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place with burial in the spring.
