Janis Starks

Janis (Jan) Council Starks, 83, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023. She was born March 5, 1940, in Bertrand, MO to the late Lloyd S. Council and Mary (Royal Council) Carpenter. Jan was residing recently in Greenfield, IN, but had lived a long time in Anderson, IN. She worked at Gaither Music Company for many years and was the personal secretary to Gloria Gaither and a member of Alpha Zeta Sorority. Jan was an avid reader and enjoyed hosting Bible studies, painting, and playing cards. She is survived by her daughter Dana (Dan) Dunbar, sister Katie (Mike) Reilly, grandchildren Meredith (Derek) Dunbar, David (Jes) Dunbar, Jaemeson (Michella) Dunbar, step-grandchildren, Morgan Maldonado, Austin (Megan) Dunbar, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren and many special cousins and friends.
