Jean Anne (Ketner) Huffman, 89, of Anderson passed away on December 16, 2024 following a sudden illness.

She was born on May 31, 1935 in Muncie, IN to the late Arthur and Mildred (Wiser) Ketner. She graduated from Anderson High School in the class of 1953. She earned her associate’s degree from Ball State University Secretarial School in 1955.

She was a secretary for more than 40 years at Inland Fisher Guide and Anderson University retiring in 1992.

She was a lifelong member of both Noble Street United Methodist and New Horizons United Methodist Church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and being very involved with her church. She enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles, playing cards, reading, bike riding, walking at the mall, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and cooking especially known for her baked spaghetti and her green jello salad. She loved spending time with her family and never missed a family function or anyone’s birthday or anniversary. She had weekly lunch dates with her sister and always enjoyed keeping in touch with all of her friends.

She is survived by her three children, David B. (Lisa) Huffman of Lapel, Sharon L. Largent of Nineveh, IN, and Susan B. Ward of Marietta, GA; her sister, Joyce Moreillon of Anderson; seven grandchildren, Sara (David) Hensley, Matthew (Lori) Largent, Allison (Eric Hulsebos) Largent, Stephanie Ward, Hannah Huffman, Jessica (Colton) Conn, and Luke Huffman; five great-grandchildren, Mary, Ellie, Caleb, Lennon and Loretta; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Jack Huffman who passed away on March 31, 2003; her brother, Joseph Ketner and a granddaughter, Carrie Largent.

Funeral service will be at 1:00pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at New Horizons United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Case officiating.

Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12 noon – 1:00pm at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to New Horizons United Methodist Church.
