Joanne L. Hadlow

JoAnne L. Hadlow, 88, of Anderson, passed to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Bethany Pointe.

She was born on June 30, 1935 in Anderson, the daughter of Philip C. and Ruth L. (Roberts) Hotzel.

JoAnne was a graduate of Anderson High School in 1953 and attended Lakeland College in Mattoon, Illinois. She was employed by Madison County Federal Credit Union as Vice President from 1972-97. She also worked two years at Post Office Credit Union before retiring in 1999. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and playing games on her fire pad. She was a devoted member of Central Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, whom she married in 1957, and her parents.

JoAnne is survived by two daughters, Carol (CJ) Edgecomb and Cheryl Hadlow; sister, Phyllis J. Smith; brother-in-law, Bernie Steenson; several nieces and nephews, and good friends Dorothy Lowe of Anderson, and Barb Ashby of Colorado.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 2 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Entombment will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Madison County Humane Society.
