John Nevin Gross

John graduated from St. Mary's High School in Anderson and also attended Indiana University.

He served in the U.S. Army.

John had owned the Shamrock Bar in Anderson for many years and also worked at Hoosier Park.

He was an avid Cubs and IU fan. John also enjoyed traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Gross in 1997, his mother Vertna Baker in 1991, and his sister, Phyllis Vorndran.

John is survived by his children, Lisa Berryman (Nostradamus Edwards), Anderson, Cynthia Burch (James), Anderson, Jeffrey Gross, Anderson, and Amanda Smith (Carlos), Anderson; his grandchildren, Jared Berryman, Ashley Ogburn, Anthony Ogburn, Brianna Cornwell, Taylor Gross, and Evelyn Smith; his great-grandchild, Elijah Blaylock; his brother, Jim Gross, South Bend, IN; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Tammy & Bruce.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson, with Rev. Matthew Jakupco officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
